Netball or Football Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join our highly successful, committed and well-established Sport Faculty. The department has a long-standing history of success at local, regional and national levels across a range of sports. We are privileged to boast amazing facilities of which are all on site, including sports halls, award winning outdoor pitches, state of the art all weather surface and purpose-built strength and conditioning gym which is accessible to all students. We have strong links with local clubs and community providers as well as high level sporting organisations, the College is the Ipswich Town Women’s Super League Academy Partner and has a fast-developing Netball Provision competing at Senior level in the AOC Leagues.

We are proud of our female student athletes that have recently represent teams in senior national competitions (Women’s FA cup) and Netball Super League teams (Mavericks and London Pulse Academy) and who have played for their country.

We are seeking to appoint a strong female member of the sports faculty, with a games background in Netball and or Football. The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic, well organised and demonstrate a genuine commitment to driving female sports participation at all levels. The ability to teach Core, GCSE and BTEC to an excellent standard is essential.

Support and professional development are a priority at St Joseph’s College. We invest in our teachers by providing regular coaching, career planning and training sessions. We have an “open door” lesson policy which ensures you receive extensive support and we promote peer-to-peer sharing of practice, all designed to help you be the best teacher you can be.
