History is a vibrant, popular and very successful subject at St Joseph’s College. Results have been strong at A level and GCSE and a number of students have gone on to study the subject at University. The department sits within a large Humanities Faculty and there are two other teachers of History in the College. Regular trips to the Battlefields in Northern France form part of the programme of study.

For September 2024, applications are invited for the position of Teacher of History to contribute to the delivery of the subject. We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and inspiring teacher to continue our strong provision within the subject. You will be able to stretch, challenge and engage students of all abilities, encouraging each young person to achieve their full potential; a passion and willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school including extra-curricular are essential.


Closing date: Midday on 22 March with interviews on 27 March 2024
