St Joseph’s College is delighted to launch a new pastoral initiative designed to empower our male students in Senior School and support their personal development throughout school life.
The Working with Boys programme is a carefully developed model that focuses on strengthening peer relationships and promoting emotional wellbeing. Delivered in a safe and nurturing environment, the programme equips students with strategies to navigate social dynamics, enhance communication skills and build resilience when facing challenges.
Throughout the Lent term, each male student will take part in a series of engaging and interactive sessions designed to promote confidence, self-worth, and positive behaviour. The sessions encourage boys to reflect on what matters in their world, talk about their experiences, and develop healthy boundaries. In doing so, the programme supports the College’s wider commitment to fostering a collaborative and supportive school culture. Parents and guardians are also being encouraged to be involved.
Mr Chris Fletcher, Senior Pastoral Manager, said “We are confident that Working With Boys will be a positive and enriching experience for our students and we look forward to seeing the benefits it brings to our community.”
This initiative is designed to work alongside the Girls on Board initiative which has already been successfully introduced at St Jo’s.
