Welcome Back: St George’s Day Assembly

Delivered by our Principal Mrs Clarke, the first whole school assembly of the Summer Term centred around St George’s Day. It was an inspiring take on St George’s legacy of bravery.

Although not quite slaying dragons, we celebrated our school and the bravery of our students in their daily lives. From members of our sports teams stepping up to take penalties, our confident performers in the arts, to our international students embracing life in a completely different country.
Most importantly we celebrated the bravery of the St Joseph’s College community, standing up for one another and supporting each other in all aspects of life.

At St Joseph’s, we fully immerse ourselves in all there is to offer, even if that means pushing out of comfort zones. Students and staff were given the opportunity in this assembly to showcase their bravery by being invited to read a poem, completely unprepared, in front of the whole school.
Those who put themselves forward spoke with courage and pride, and showed how true bravery is formed within the St Jo’s community.

With so many opportunities and exciting events on the horizon, we look forward to another successful Summer Term full of bravery and ambition.
