What Makes Us Different?

Ethos & Aims

Our aim is to provide the best all-round, seamless education within a Christian community, meeting the individual needs of each child’s heart, mind, body and spirit, nurturing them to be their best in all their academic and extra-curricular activities.

Our unique environment is the product of our ethos – a set of fundamental ideas combining strong Christian values with a distinctive approach to supporting and nurturing children within a friendly, family setting.

The school’s ethos is based on the philosophy of  its founder, St John Baptist De La Salle and the values of its patron saint, St Joseph (the patron saint of teachers), which encapsulate its guiding principles. Spiritual and moral well-being is at the heart of what the school aims to offer, while catering for the needs of all pupils in an inclusive and caring environment.

We have distilled our distinctive educational philosophy into the following core beliefs, values and aims that guide everything we do:

Our Distinctive Educational Philosophy

  • Everything we do is for the benefit of the child
  • Actively safeguarding and protecting children is of primary importance
  • Each child is individual and deserves an equal educational opportunity

  • We strive for excellence in everything we do, encouraging ambition and aspiration
  • We embrace innovation as well as seeking, reflecting on and learning from feedback and experience

  • Leading by example and with humility produces the best results
