The Senior Leadership Team at St Joseph’s College is comprised of:
Mrs Clarke has worked in both the maintained and independent education sectors, holding a range of senior management and leadership roles. She is a qualified Modern Foreign Languages teacher and has taught French, German, Spanish and Latin.
She was appointed to the position of Vice Principal at St Joseph’s in 2007 and to Principal of the College in January 2014, with responsibility for the day-to-day running of all aspects of the school including safeguarding, academic performance, pastoral care, boarding, finance and health and safety.
She is a member of the Society of Heads; the Independent Schools Council Futures’ Group and is a trained ISI Team Inspector.
Mrs Clarke's daughter attends St Joseph's, her son was previously a student at the college and is currently studying for an MSC at university.

With more than 20 years in education, Mr Cinnamond joined St Joseph's in 2016 to lead the Sixth Form and the College's Futures & Progression programme, having spent the previous 10 years as the Director of Sixth Form at his previous school where he had also held the post of Head of History and Head of Humanities.
He is a consultant to the Historical Association and has experience in teacher training for Hodder History as well as working as a masterclass presenter for gifted and talented children for the Gabbitas Truman and Thring Foundation. Mr Cinnamond has also managed multiple bi-lateral and multi-school international partnerships.
Mrs Wood has over 20 years of experience teaching throughout the 3 – 11 age range in both the maintained and independent education sectors. Her specialism is STEM subjects, including Engineering as well as the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Appointed as Deputy Head of Prep School in 2013 and promoted to Head of Prep School in 2017, she is responsible for Prep pupils’ academic curriculum, their achievement and their pastoral care.
A member of the Independent Association of Prep Schools, Mrs Wood also works as a personal tutor for Initial Teacher Training at the University of Suffolk and as a consultant for EYFS training.
Mrs Rowlands has been at the College for 16 years in a range of pastoral and academic leadership roles and is a qualified Modern Foreign Languages teacher, with a degree in Spanish and German.
Mrs Rowlands is the Designated Safeguarding Lead for Boarding and Senior School and has oversight of Boarding and supports pastoral and safeguarding within the College
Appointed in April 2017, as the Assistant Principal Pastoral - Boarding & International Student Development and Achievement, Mrs Rowlands now lives on campus with her family.
Having trained at the University of Cambridge, Mrs Harvey has over 20 years of experience within education in both the maintained and independent sectors. She joined St Joseph’s College in 2005 and within four years was promoted to the Head of Creative & Performing Arts. Mrs Harvey has broadened and diversified the Creative & Performing Arts curriculum, leading the College to receive the highest level of recognition from Arts Council, England, being awarded Artsmark Gold consecutively since 2010.
In 2018, Mrs Harvey was appointed to the Senior Leadership Team, with responsibility for extra-curricular, timetabling, scholars, international educational exchange programmes and managing trips and visits as the College’s Educational Visits Co-ordinator. Under her guidance, the extra-curricular provision encompasses a diverse offering of over 110 after school activities. A highlight in the College’s calendar is the annual Arts Festival which Mrs Harvey leads through a dedicated Arts Focus group, bringing together students, staff, parents, governors and alumni who unite to participate in a week-long spectacular of creativity.
Mr O’Riordan was formerly Director of Rugby and Head of BTEC at St Joseph’s College.
Mr O’Riordan joined the College having worked as Development Group Head Coach at Hartpury College and is currently Director of Rugby at Colchester Rugby Club.
Mr Palmer joined the College at Easter 2019, having previously worked in people focussed businesses, most recently as Head of Finance at NIAB in Cambridge, working in frontier Science.
Key areas of experience / focus include the development of internal teams to deliver a strong ownership of IT and financial systems, with a progressive approach to embracing opportunities to enhance the position for all those within the College community.

Mrs Edwards joined the team at St Joseph’s College in September 2019 to provide strategic planning and leadership in college communications, marketing and pupil recruitment. Mrs Edwards has over 20 years’ experience working with some incredible brands across a range of different markets and channels to create excellent communications and deliver targeted results. She works with the Admissions, Marketing and Communications team to create strong brand dialogue and oversee pupil enrolment.

After a number of years in the UK Ports and Logistics sector at Main Board level including the positions of Chief Operating Officer of Forth Ports Ltd and UK Director of Geest North Sea Line BV, Perry stepped down from his full time involvement in 2017.
He is currently a Non Executive Director at the Port of Dover, Director of the South East Local Enterprise Partnership and Non Executive of High House Production, he also advises a number of companies in the Logistics sector. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Institute of Directors.
Perry is a previous parent, Dena his youngest daughter left in 2019 after attending the College from Years 7 to 13.

A Solicitor by profession, Richard has specialised in employment law for nearly 30 years and has his own specialist employment law firm. Richard has two sons in the Senior School and has been a governor of St Joseph's College since December 2003. He is the College’s Named Governor for Safeguarding.
