This is the ideal opportunity for a well-qualified, inspirational teacher of English to join a flourishing and lively department in its delivery of outstanding teaching and learning both through its curricular and co-curricular activities.
This is a high achieving Faculty, in 2023 ninety five percent of English Language grades were at Grade 4 or above. We invite well-qualified classroom practitioners with excellent knowledge and a real passion for books, literature, theatre and poetry to apply. They will be a dedicated classroom practitioner, committed in their approach and able to contribute excellence to their team. They should be able to challenge their pupils to think and ask questions whilst also developing a creative and enquiring mind through the power of language and delights of literature.
A friendly, approachable and can-do attitude as well as adaptability and resourcefulness are essential qualities, along with a high degree of personal motivation, creativity and drive.
This short term and full-time cover post starting in June until 5 July 2024 is suitable for both experienced teachers and those new to the profession. The applicant will have strong organisation and time management skills and be willing to contribute to the wider life of the school.
