Agents and guardians

Pupils who normally reside abroad have a UK-based guardian.

All St Joseph’s, with a parent who lives overseas, must have a guardian in the UK. This is essential and is to ensure that in circumstances where a pupil cannot attend school, such as illness, school holidays or in case of emergency, there is an English speaking adult in the UK responsible for them.

It is the responsibility of each family to appoint a guardian.  Some families choose to use agencies and others arrange for local families or friends to fulfil this role.
