College Charity Fashion Show

St Joseph’s College on the catwalk to support EACH

St Joseph’s College students and staff ‘stepped out’ to raise funds for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) on Sunday 9 March at Trinity Park.

The College hosted a charity fashion show, ‘Stepping out for EACH,’ to help EACH raise money and reach its £6 million target for 2014. Students and staff took to the catwalk modelling outfits and accessories from COES, Kiss Dress Hire, SLC-SLC, Scarlett Valentine, Bats about Hats, Urban Vintage, and Puzzle. Compered by Nick Pandolfi, freelance broadcaster, and Mr Andrew Reavill from St Joseph’s, the show proved to be an enjoyable evening and a great success.

The event has been an incredible journey for all involved, starting in April 2013 with the first meeting with EACH and St Joseph’s College. Mrs Harvey, Head of Creative & Performing Arts at the College, said “It has been a wonderful experience for all of our students and staff to work with EACH to make this event a success. The generous support received from local businesses, friends of the College and the local community has been overwhelming.”

The event raised over £1,100 for EACH and Mrs Clarke, Acting Head of St Joseph’s College, said “Speaking on behalf of St Joseph’s College I am delighted that we have been able to raise money for this local charity. ‘Stepping out for EACH’ has provided our students with an insight into the work that EACH does, and we feel privileged to have worked with this local charity.”

Patsy Johnson-Cisse, EACH Suffolk Fundraiser, said: “A big thank you to all the staff, pupils and volunteers who worked so hard to pull the show together.  The models who all came from St Joseph’s looked very professional and did really well.  A whole team effort raising funds in support of EACH.  We are delighted that St Joseph’s has supported EACH by organising this very successful fashion show.”
