For international families, the College is conveniently situated an hour away from London and Cambridge by train, an hour from Stansted Airport and just two hours by car from Heathrow, Gatwick and London airports.

St Joseph’s College also provides a daily in-house Bus Club, which operates various routes covering locations such as Colchester, Tendring, Dedham Vale, Sudbury, and Ipswich. This service is designed to enable students to attend after-school clubs, sports practices, and other activities.

To further facilitate students’ transportation needs, St Joseph’s operates a complimentary shuttle bus service to and from Ipswich Train Station for those who travel by train. The College strives to ensure that the student journey is as smooth and effortless as possible.

Easter Revision Courses

Boost confidence, improve examination technique and revise the key facts and content of each subject.

In 2022, we launched new Easter revision programmes for GCSE and A-level students at St Joseph’s and beyond. The courses were well received and students( and parents) reported increased confidence in their subjects and motivation to undertake further revision as a result of attending.  We continue to offer programmes for GCSE, AS and A-level every year.

FAQs

Here you will find answers to some of the commonly asked questions about St Joseph’s College. Feel free to browse through the questions to learn more.

Do the buses leave before the development hour clubs?

Our minibus timetables take development hour into account and buses leave afterwards.

My child needs transport. Are there spaces?

St Joseph’s transport is available once the child is old enough to operate their own seat belt. Students are welcome to travel on one of our St Jo’s minibuses for which additional fees will apply, apart from if your child is using our complimentary bus shuttle service to and from the train station.

Will my child need to wear a uniform?

The only extras needed for St Jo’s Nursery are wellies, waterproofs and a sense of adventure for our mud kitchen and 60-acre grounds. Little St Jo’s red sweatshirts are available to buy – but these are optional.
