The abundant sense of community at St Joseph’s College is what truly underpins our ethos of aspiration, confidence and respect. It is here where I have been supported, whether that be in my desire to play a high level of sport, to achieve the best grades possible, or even to take on new challenges such as public speaking! In my last year at St Jo’s, it has been my greatest pleasure to take on the role of Head Girl after many years of looking up to the previous Head Boys and Girls.
The school we chose for our son Simon, 13 years old, St Joseph’s College in Ipswich, met our criteria and proved to be a good choice from the start. This was evident through the welcoming school environment and boarding facilities, the quality of monitoring, training, the visibility of his work, the sports activities, and the outings. We were professionally guided by Charlotte Lestienne from The Way to UK. As parents, we were also warmly welcomed and were able to closely follow his progress, especially with regard to his life at the boarding school, thanks to the spontaneous connections that were created. The International Relations department was a great help from the very beginning of this journey. We would like to thank the teachers and the boarding staff who ensured his excellent academic and social integration.
‘We have seen Carys grow in every way. She has flourished in the welcoming atmosphere of St Jo’s. The close relationship between students and teaching staff is what makes the difference here. We think that’s why she blossomed – St Jo’s brought out the best in her.’
Safeguarding
Our Commitment to Safety and Care
Safeguarding is at the core of our approach to school transport, reflecting our unwavering commitment to every student’s well-being. All staff involved in the transport service receive comprehensive safeguarding training, equipping them to recognise and respond effectively to any concerns. Our routes and schedules are regularly reviewed to ensure safety and efficiency, supported by robust emergency protocols that all staff are fully briefed on.
Each vehicle is subject to regular safety audits and inspections, ensuring that every aspect of your child’s journey meets the highest standards. Our commitment extends to a proactive culture of monitoring and improvement, where feedback is welcomed and safety practices are continually refined. With these measures in place, you can trust that your child’s journey to and from school is as safe and supported as their school day.

Accessibility and inclusivity
The Daily Commute: What Matters Most
The daily school commute is more than just travel; it is a transition time. We strive to make this time productive and relaxing for everyone involved.
For Our Students: The journey to school is a chance to socialise with friends across different year groups in a relaxed, supervised setting. It fosters a sense of independence and community before the school day begins.
For Our Parents: We know you are ambitious for your children but also have busy schedules. Our door-to-door or near-to-door service removes the stress of the school run, giving you back valuable time while assuring you that your child is in safe hands.

Transport Providers and Contacts
The School works with approved transport providers to deliver safe, reliable pupil transport services. All providers are appointed following due diligence and are required to meet the School’s safeguarding, operational, and insurance standards. Where transport is provided through a third-party contractor, the School ensures that:
- Pricing is fair and clear before booking
- We know the routes and transport methods our students use
Contracts with transport providers are reviewed regularly, and performance is monitored to ensure that services remain safe, punctual, and aligned with the School’s values and duty of care.
Where transport arrangements are made independently by parents (for example, private taxis or shared lifts), these fall outside the School’s contractual responsibility, and parents retain responsibility for those arrangements.
