St Joseph's College emphasises the importance of physical as well as academic development as part of a broad and balanced education in producing healthy and secure young adults. Competitive and recreational sport has always had a special place in the life of pupils at St Joseph's College and some of our pupils have gone on to represent England in their chosen sport.

In addition the College hosts national rugby and cricket festivals which bring together national and international sports players. As well as providing exercise and competition, we strongly believe sport instils self-confidence while developing teamwork and leadership skills.

St Joseph's is fortunate in that a comprehensive range of sporting activities are provided for on our 56 acre site, covering a wide range of interests and ability levels. Other sports offered include; squash, martial arts, dance, table tennis, snooker, skiing, climbing, horse riding, golf, archery, windsurfing, sailing, ten pin bowling, swimming, tennis and badminton.
