Little Jo’s Nursery is an integral part of St Joseph’s College Infant and Junior Department, with superb indoor and outdoor facilities and fully qualified staff. Little St Jo's Nursery has a large indoor area for interactive learning as well as a separate wet area for art and craft activities. Here the seeds of a love for learning are sown and are ready to be nurtured fostering a life long respect for the value of education. The nursery has its own beautifully and securely designed outdoor play area, whilst having access to all other facilities and resources in both the Infant and Junior Department and the 60 acres of grounds.

The dedicated and caring staff create a purposeful family atmosphere for all the children. They focus on the well-being of each individual child. We build on each child’s interests, expand their understanding, and inspire their interests. By encountering a broad range of carefully planned activities we enable each child to enjoy their education whilst learning good manners and to respect each other.

All areas of the early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum are covered, and each pupil's development is carefully assessed. Little Jo’s children learn and develop through play, in a happy and enthusiastic atmosphere. A qualified P.E. teacher visits twice a week and the children have the opportunity to try a variety of activities and games in our purpose built hall.

Children can start St Joseph's College Nursery in the term that they turn 3; these can be full or part-time places. During school terms we open Monday to Friday between 8.00am to 6.00pm. Little Jo’s is a happy and caring environment in which each child can develop and achieve their full potential in readiness for entry into our Reception class.
