Pets' Assembly
Boris is back!

Once again St Joseph’s Pets’ Assembly was a huge success. All the staff, pupils, parents and pets met on the green outside the new Nursery, Infant and Junior Departments to meet and share stories of their pets. Just some of this year’s pets were: Ducklings, a Shetland pony, newts, hissing cockroaches, speckled hens, numerous cats and dogs, fish, tortoises, fire-bellied toads, and even a stag beetle which was found in our beautiful woodland by a pupil during the assembly!! (The beetle was safely returned to the woodland afterwards.) The star of the show was Boris the Boa Constrictor. It is Boris’ second visit to St Joseph’s and he is extremely popular with all the children.
The assembly ended with a wonderful blessing of the animals by Sister Carmel, readings and prayers by staff and pupils, and a joyful hymn: All things bright and beautiful. dsc_0210_wince.jpg
