Prep School Arts
Through a wide range of artistic opportunities children express their creative flair and celebrate their enjoyment of the arts. Everything is done to encourage creativity and to provide a sense of achievement in this vital area of children's education. A variety of art forms are explored and attention is given to the development of individual and group skills in art, dance, drama and music.
Colourful, fun, expressive, noisy and sometimes messy, the Arts in the Prep School is very much part of our children’s lives. They are encouraged to explore and create whilst developing an understanding of the artistic and creative world outside of the College.
Our children enjoy learning and developing creative skills through a wide range of activities beyond the classroom. These include opportunities to perform at concerts, act on stage in plays and create and read poetry. They attend clubs and participate in trips to galleries, theatres and places of interest; are encouraged to enter competitions and have work published and exhibited to wider audiences in professional galleries; are inspired by the skills and talents of visiting professional artists and performers, with workshops to enable them to be artistes themselves.
