The atmosphere and ethos at St Joseph's College are special and the pupils are unique. They have a real sense of pride in their school and are secure, happy and always willing to have a go and to be their best. They are children you would be proud to call your own.
Parental support and partnerships are vital in creating and maintaining the excellent standards of academic and pastoral care that exist in the Primary department. Together, our children start looking outside of themselves and seeing how they can contribute within and beyond school. They come to believe that when you try to 'be your best', then everything is possible.
With outstanding facilities and extensive grounds, we blend the best of the traditions of an independent school with cutting-edge educational resources and practices. Standards of behaviour and mutual respect are just as important as the very high academic standards to which we aspire. Children are provided with a multitude of academic, artistic and sporting opportunities - all enriched by a dazzling array of educational trips and an extensive range of extra-curricular clubs and activities. Their independence and curiosity are continually encouraged and nurtured.
Our recent ISI Inspection emphasised that all of our children make excellent progress and achieve better than age-related expectations in all areas of learning. The quality and standards of the EYFS are excellent and the quality of the pupils’ achievement in the Primary Department is excellent.
Words can only give you a sense of the spirit and togetherness between pupils, parents and staff which draws comment from all our visitors. You are invited to visit us in person so you can experience the atmosphere first-hand for yourself and your family.
