College Financial Awards
Means tested Bursaries are available at St Joseph’s college and these may be awarded in the form of a discount on tuition fees payable.
Requests for financial support are available to new applicants to the College where a place has been offered, where parents have indicated on the registration form that they require financial support, or to existing pupils where a change in the parents’/guardians’ circumstances has resulted in difficulty meeting tuition fees.
Bursaries are means-tested in accordance with the criteria in our Bursary Policy. Both parents are required to provide proof of their income and assets. The level of support varies according to parental need. Before the offer of a bursary is confirmed, a member of staff may visit the family at their home.
Bursaries are always offered for 12 months at a time. The family is required to provide up to date information about its circumstances for every year that their child attends the College. Levels of support may vary with fluctuations in income.
The College practice is to allocate its entire available bursary funding on entry. The College's expectation is that parents, who do not choose to apply for a bursary at the time that their child is being assessed, will not require financial support throughout the time that their child attends the College, except in wholly unforeseen circumstances.
The Bursary Policy is published here and enclosed in our Prospectus Pack.
